All right. Alright. Welcome back, kids. Welcome back. It is Know Your Limits. My name's Andrew, aka Handy Andy, and this is Zach, aka Zachy Chan.
SPEAKER_01I like that.
SPEAKER_02We are back for another episode of Know Your Limits. We're breaking down what's coming up. Gonna go over some things. Uh Zach, what are you wearing a ma uh a lion head for? Well, this is my real head. Okay. So it's actually smaller than your actual head. Right.
SPEAKER_01That's why my headphones.
SPEAKER_02How'd you fit your head in those in that head? Oh, you have the mic, the headphones on in there.
SPEAKER_01I have them on top of my case. Skull. Yeah, they're in here. Oh, nice.
SPEAKER_02Okay. They're on. Okay. It looks like you're talking out of your nose.
SPEAKER_01I am. I'm looking and breathing through my eye.
SPEAKER_02How's that working out for you? It's hot. I'm assure that it is. It is hot. So uh tell the folks, tell the tell the nice folks at home why um you've changed your head to a lion head, please. Well, I've gone full lion. Okay.
SPEAKER_01Um you are lion. Yeah. Little lion man. Big lion boy. I'm big lion, boy. And uh this is in promotion for the Lions Club. Fantastic. And this little lion will be throwing out the first pitch at the Barnstormers. That's awesome. That's how on the 18th of August.
SPEAKER_02Nice. Is that a what day is that?
SPEAKER_01The 18th of August.
SPEAKER_02That would be Tuesday. Yeah. Six days from now. So you should get the uh get my little lion arm working for sure. Have you thrown a pitch uh since middle school? No. Okay, all right. This is gonna go great. This is gonna go exactly how I think it's gonna go. Fantastic.
SPEAKER_01Um yeah. So if you are free next Tuesday, come out and see us. That's awesome. Um Lions Club, do they do one every year? We go to a Barn Summer's game every yeah. But I have never seen this lion costume.
SPEAKER_02No.
SPEAKER_01They needed somebody to throw out the first pitch. I said, I'll do it. And I get that, I guess that was me signing off because nobody else wanted to do it. And then I was jokingly said, Do you have a lion costume? And Bill turned around and said, You know what? We do. I was like, You're kidding. I was like, I'm throwing out the first pitch in the lion guest. For sure.
SPEAKER_02That's do they like is they sponsor the game or do they just go to the game? What's what's the what's the story?
SPEAKER_01I think there's gonna be well, we're not sponsoring the game, but we usually have like a night out there.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_01Um but we will have a stand. Um it's a local service club, so they're welcoming us there and kind of mentioning what we do, you know, allowing us to do the first pitch to highlight the Lancaster Lions Club.
SPEAKER_02Fantastic.
SPEAKER_01How did you get connected with Lions Club? Uh grandfather and father have been members for a long time. Tom Hankel. Tom Hankel, I don't think, missed a meeting for like 50 years. Something stupid crazy. Wow. Yeah. It was that's insane. I think he even went when they started going on cruises, he would go to Lions Club meetings on cruises so that he wouldn't miss his.
SPEAKER_02They're Lions Club cruise meetings.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, it's the biggest um service organization in the world.
SPEAKER_02Wow, that's very cool. I didn't know Lions Could Swim. Or take cruises. Well, yeah, I mean, how do you think the circus gets around? I guess that's true. How do we get him how do we get him over here?
SPEAKER_01So, yeah, join us on Tuesday. Come out and support. If you're actually interested in joining the Lions Club, you could ask us about that. Awesome. We meet like every once a month on Wednesdays for lunch, just talk about different things. It's nice to get out there. You know, we clean up the Greenway Trail.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, we did that recently. That was a lot of fun.
SPEAKER_01It's a simple way to get involved back in the community and with uh you know helping a bunch of different organizations.
SPEAKER_02Now that I think about it, this guy's in the Lions Club. He did not come to the Lions Club cleanup actually last time.
SPEAKER_01I've been to plenty of lions. I go to all the lions club ones. There you go. I didn't go to the Engel and Terence one. Yeah. I'm a lion, dude. I'm a lion.
SPEAKER_02You're a lion. Um so well, you're a liar. Well, you know, hard with the hard R liar, okay.
SPEAKER_01I told you I was a lion.
SPEAKER_02All right, so we got a quick family episode today. It's just the bozos, just the homies. We're gonna go over the uh marathon training, the 50-day challenge update, um, talk a little bit about what's coming up, uh, and some news stories around the around the way. Oh my god, he took his hat off. Let's hope it's breezy on Tuesday. Have you still not gotten your new glasses? No. I'm wearing sunglasses. When are they coming at?
SPEAKER_01She said seven to ten days.
SPEAKER_02Dang. Normally it's like three.
SPEAKER_01Well, I think they give the seven to ten, and I was expecting three.
SPEAKER_02How many days has it been? It's been almost five, right?
SPEAKER_01I don't know, when did I go? Oh, wait. I can't do it when I try, but I unintentionally did that. I don't know. I went last week. Last Thursday or Wednesday or Thursday.
SPEAKER_02Okay, so we're getting up to seven. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I'd say early next week. You need a call.
SPEAKER_02It's but they're probably sitting on a shelf somewhere waiting for you.
SPEAKER_01Well, they said I'd get a text. I don't think I got one.
SPEAKER_02Text came six days ago.
SPEAKER_01But yeah, they um yesterday I I thought I was just like a little bit dizzy all day. And I thought it was just like something like maybe dehydrated or something. And when I took my glasses off at night, I realized I was just wearing glasses that had like very visible marks on it. So my depth perception must have been off or something. You were like focused on the lens. Well, I was just on, yeah. I don't know what it was, but I took my glasses off, I'm like, oh my god. And that helped? Yeah. That's good. I was fine. Nice. So yeah, I can't wait for those.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Not having the correct glasses when you actually need glasses to see is a kind of an important thing.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, and I'm not I don't have the worst vision. Like close-up stuff I can see. It's really driving, like seeing signs further away. Nighttime driving. Glasses. I'm a lion, not a bird. Eagle eye over here.
SPEAKER_02So what day are we on? We are on day five. We're on day six today of the 50-day challenge. How is uh how have you been doing?
SPEAKER_01Good. Good. Have you hit them? Yeah, I've hit them every day. The one day I had all five? I missed ten push-ups one day, but I did ten extra yesterday. Nice. Yep. So my average is well, I've hit the steps every day. Mm-hmm The water, I usually try to get done in the morning. And then push-ups and sit-ups throughout the day. Well, push-ups throughout the day. I usually do sit-ups in the morning or at night. And stretching, I kind of try to do that all the time.
SPEAKER_02Nice.
SPEAKER_01Where I'll do a pliability thing.
SPEAKER_02Nice. I've uh I've definitely hit water. Yesterday missed some sit-ups and push-ups and some stretching, so I'm gonna do some extra of that. I am averaging uh uh twelve point five thousand steps. Um, but yesterday or Monday I got five thousand steps. Luckily, Saturday I hit twenty-two thousand steps, so my average is still right in there. Uh, but we did have a lazy day on Monday, it looks like well you're gonna you had a big weekend.
SPEAKER_01You did 11 miles and then four miles. That is correct. See, I didn't do that. It works better for me to do you're training for a marathon, so you're gonna have that up and down. Yeah. I can do more of the consistent.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, but this has definitely helped the push-ups have gotten a lot easier.
SPEAKER_01Yes. And honestly, I can just tell I feel better just by moving that little bit throughout the day. Honestly. Yeah. Because we sit a lot. Yeah. So just getting up, moving your body a little bit, busting out a couple push-ups. I am down one pound. You know, think Ben Ink at his job. He's doing push-ups.
SPEAKER_02No, he's not. He's going into and eating while he's driving in the car. That's half done, isn't it?
SPEAKER_01No, that's one is lunch break. Oh. Well that well, yeah, he's doing push-ups when he's supposed to be working, is what I'm saying.
SPEAKER_02Oh, yeah, probably.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. So he just gets confused and starts doing push-ups. Right.
unknownRight.
SPEAKER_02Who can believe him?
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Really. This isn't your influencer headquarters, Ben. No. This is Envisions. Oh, wait. Can we even say that?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, he has said on the podcast that he that he worked for Envisions. I mean, it's a great it's a great organization. Yeah. You you went to Envisions, right? Mm-hmm. Nice. I did not.
SPEAKER_01Didn't get accepted. Application? What was what was on your application that got that denied you?
SPEAKER_02I my I had a stay-at-home mom. Yes. So I had PB and Jays waiting for me at 3 p.m. 3 a.m.
SPEAKER_013 a.m.
SPEAKER_02That's how I got to 250 pounds.
SPEAKER_01That's nice too.
SPEAKER_02Yes. Um, so yeah, marathon training has been going well. I did hit that 11 miler on Saturday, went to the Conewego, Canawago, whatever you call it. Over in uh Lebanon, Mount Gretna, Elizabethtown area. It kind of connects those three little uh burrows. Very nice trail. Highly recommend.
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. You ever been on that one? No. It's a really nice bike trail. There's a cool creek. There's a I mean, you get to Mount Gretna, so you can go to the jigger shop. Uh there's a llama farm or an alpaca farm. I can never tell the difference between the two of them. They kind of look the same.
SPEAKER_01I think Sarah's been there, I think.
SPEAKER_02Very cool. Very cool trail. Shaded. I haven't been able to determine whether I like the Columbia one or that one better yet. We'll figure it out. Yeah. I'm sure they're both just fine.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Either one. So the Columbia one's probably more crowded.
SPEAKER_02Definitely more crowded. Yeah. I've hit like barely anybody on the trail on Saturday, which was cool. Yeah, that's great.
SPEAKER_01See, that would make it my number one.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Yeah, that was really nice. Because I assume that's Saturday at 3 p.m., Columbia's probably pretty busy.
SPEAKER_01Oh yeah. Yeah. Chicky's rockets right there. They got everything.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Yeah, the cliffs, everything like that. Not that the, like I said, jigger shop, alpaca farm, very cool.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. High dive.
SPEAKER_02All of it. There's stuff up in Lebanon, I'm sure maybe. I don't know.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, Lebanon.
SPEAKER_02Baloney. What else do we got?
SPEAKER_01Well, this is gonna be a quick update. Looks like we got some mustard bandits in Lancaster. Yeah, what is going on with that? I don't know. I think some kids are squeezing some packets of mustard on to Lancaster Cupcakes front doors.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, apparently Lancaster Cupcake has gotten four or five vandalism issues. Um they've caught some people on camera. They said two to three of them, maybe four, coming up spraying mustard. They've had to have it professionally cleaned. They have tried to make light of the situation by making hot dog cupcakes.
SPEAKER_01Oh, did they?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah, where they have little little mustard drizzle on them.
SPEAKER_01Now they're asking for it.
SPEAKER_02See, I think they're taunting them at this point.
SPEAKER_01Now they're asking for it. But that's fun. I mean, yeah, I mean, mustard on the door. It's not like they're breaking the windows with rocks, but still they gotta go there. They're supposed to open the shop, now they gotta clean the front window.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_01And no, you don't want to do that every day.
SPEAKER_02No. No, I mean, my first my first thought was you gotta turn all the lights off and hang out in the dark one night.
SPEAKER_01Well, I think I think message to whoever's doing it, if you've done it four times, I think you better just stay away. You've you've already gotten lucky enough.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, now that there's a news story out, there's probably I mean, who knows? Maybe that emboldens them, but I wouldn't go for a fifth.
SPEAKER_01Lucky number five. I wouldn't. No. No. Most people only get three tries.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_01They've already striking. They've successfully done four.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_01So you know, just cool it with the mustard. Do your research.
SPEAKER_02Mustard would you mustard over ketchup? What's it on?
SPEAKER_01Mustard over ketchup on a pretzel.
SPEAKER_02To overall. Because like you got stone mustard, you got honey mustard, you got quichan. Ketchup's really only ketchup.
SPEAKER_01I think I only use ketchup on a cheeseburger and a hot dog. Fries? Oh fries. But I like hot sauce.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I could, I could, you can, I could, you could have honey mustard with fries. You could have a bunch of other, you know. I'd have to go mustard. I like those whole stone mustard ones are fantastic.
SPEAKER_01Well, yeah, the stone mustard with like uh bolog with Lebanon bologna and cheese.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_01I'm there. That'll keep you at 5,000 steps.
SPEAKER_02Definitely I'm definitely gonna gain that pound back I lost last week for sure.
SPEAKER_01Fun fact of the week.
SPEAKER_02Fun fact of the week. I guess that's on me. Yeah, you know. I got a couple fun facts of the week. So we'll go through these.
SPEAKER_01Fun fact.
SPEAKER_02Yes. Um nuts.
SPEAKER_01Well, go ahead.
SPEAKER_02Uh the voice actors for Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Wayne Allwine and Russie Taylor, were actually married in real life. Oh boy. I literally do.
SPEAKER_01What were the names? Stop it. Stop. Oh man. Did you see that girl that does the Mickey voice and prank calls Mickey Mouse impersonators? Yes. She's good at it.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, she is very good at it. Um but the reason why I kept that one in was because the guy's name is Wayne Allwine. Um, but my real fun fact is wine-based.
SPEAKER_01Oh, okay.
SPEAKER_02So it takes about 700 grapes to make one full bottle of wine.
SPEAKER_01What?
SPEAKER_02And if you go to Cornell, you can actually major in wine. It's called viticulture and enology, which is the cultivation of grapes and winemaking.
SPEAKER_03Hmm.
SPEAKER_02So you can actually major in it at a, I believe Cornell's an Ivy League school.
SPEAKER_01Good school.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, it's definitely a good school. That's Ivy League does.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. We didn't find out about those majors because we didn't get into those schools.
SPEAKER_02That's true.
SPEAKER_01Listen, kids, if you stick your nose in a book in high school, you could be a winemaker. You could be anything. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, you could be president. Well, you could, but I don't know. Do you want to be? Would you want to be president? Hell no. Okay, good.
SPEAKER_02No. I don't think anybody in their right mind would actually want to be president, especially today. Too divisive.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I mean everything's on the or is it divisive? I you think I know? I didn't even know what that word meant earlier that you said to me. It was like a four-letter word. Enology? That's not four-letter words. Oh, Lore. Yeah. I thought you were talking about somebody named Lore.
SPEAKER_02Lore who?
SPEAKER_01Lore have mercy.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, my girl lore.
SPEAKER_01Lore have mercy. Can you use it in a sentence, please?
SPEAKER_02What's the original? What's the origination of the word, please?
SPEAKER_01Yeah. So that's where we are at. Okay. All right. Oh, Lore. You'd think that I would go L-U-R-E.
SPEAKER_02Didn't even cross your mind or mine until just now.
SPEAKER_01Wow.
SPEAKER_02Wow. What's wrong with us? More of a bait guy.
SPEAKER_01Bait. Okay. Yeah. Take the bait.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Uh speaking of bait and lures, uh an eight-year-old caught a piranha in Ridley Park, PA. Yep. Just outside Philadelphia. So that's crazy. Almost a 10-incher. And I've looked this up. I don't think that there's ever been a piranha caught in Pennsylvania, so I guess technically that would be the state record.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. We might have to reach out to the fishing game and see if it qualifies for a state record, because they verified the species. Does does the fish have to be native? Probably. But well, is blue catfish native? No, was that on the state record thing?
SPEAKER_02But can you get a you could get the state record for a blue catfish, right?
SPEAKER_01I I would think so, yeah.
SPEAKER_02So we'll have to find out.
SPEAKER_01We might be uh how cool would that be if that kid got state record for piranhas? Hell yeah. Now they might not do it because they don't want people to just bring a piranha.
SPEAKER_02I don't even know how it got in there. We were talking about that earlier, too.
SPEAKER_01Somebody does. Yeah. Somebody does.
SPEAKER_02At least one person does. Somebody does. Yeah, for sure.
SPEAKER_01Who are you?
SPEAKER_02For sure. Yeah. Um so shout out Seamus, um, the eight-year-old who caught the fish and is now the current state record holder for the piranha catch.
SPEAKER_01It's kind of cool. Yeah. Congratulations, buddy.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Um good thing you had your pliers. Yeah, that's not that's not a hook you want to get out with your hands.
SPEAKER_01You don't want to lip a piranha.
SPEAKER_02That's for sure. For sure. Kiss it. You will not have a finger. But the last thing you do. We already went over the Stormers game. You're still typing it in as Barn Stormers. That's hilarious. August 16th at Buchanan Park, uh, Sparrow, which is S-P-A-R-O, spelled it wrong again. They're doing a back to school event where they're giving out free backpacks, free school supplies, they're giving out free haircuts and doing free braiding for the kids in the neighborhood. So that should be really cool to see. Sweet. Yes. Shout out to Aileen and Sparrow. Yeah. Free braiding. Should have waited, should have waited for that haircut. I mean, it's long enough to braid. Oh, definitely.
SPEAKER_01I can get some braids.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_01First come, first served on the braids. Mmm. Can you get the beads? I think I want like a little bow wow, like little beads thing. I don't know. Basketball Jones? Whoever that is, probably.
SPEAKER_02That's a song by Lil Bow Wow.
SPEAKER_01Oh.
SPEAKER_02Never mind.
SPEAKER_01Lore.
SPEAKER_02That's a that's a deep cut. If you know basketball Jones by Lil Bow Wow. Like Mike, you don't remember Lake Mike?
SPEAKER_01Uh yeah, I remember the name. Was that a movie?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, it was where he put Michael Jordan's shoes on and then he could dunk. He ended up playing.
SPEAKER_01I don't think I watched that that much. But I know I've seen it once or twice.
SPEAKER_02Different sides of the rail tracks, folks.
SPEAKER_01I don't know what's called. What else do we have? I had no chance to be like Mike, so I gave up.
SPEAKER_02That's true. You were like Michael. I'm like, we're turning this off. Uh what else do we have this month? We're gonna be dropping books off at uh little libraries around Lancaster. Little libraries. Little library. Little Bow Wow. Yeah. Um, so that should be fun. I'm gonna probably take one out, take like a wagon out this weekend and drop off a bunch with Elena.
SPEAKER_01Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. So get my steps in, drop some books off.
SPEAKER_01Steps in, do some charity. That guy's got a wagon. That's what people are gonna be saying. Two or five. Guy's got two wagons.
SPEAKER_02Two wagons. Whoa. So does his girlfriend? Yeah. Guy's got three wagons. He's the richest man alive. I'm hitting the Oregon Trail, three wagons.
SPEAKER_01But yeah, we're doing a quick refresh on all the uh little libraries. So thank for that was your idea, right?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah. So if you have uh if you have visited them recently and have felt like you couldn't find a book, not to fear, you can always check them out again because people are always putting in and taking books out.
SPEAKER_01It's a really cool Actually, that would be a cool thing if if we did that, if we not like promoted it, but let people know like if they notice the little library is lacking, we'll fill it up.
SPEAKER_02Oh yeah.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_02Or even like a mailbox thing where you could put the sign up. Like if it's been restocked, you put the sign up so people know, hey, it's been restocked, check out the new books in the little library. We check them out pretty frequently though in the city. Okay. Yeah. Um on top of that, what else? For you. Yes. Readers. Well, she's a reader. I just like to watch her read. September 10th, the Hinkle Insurance is gonna be doing a blood drive um out of the parking lot here at Old Hickory. Uh, make sure that you stop out. It's gonna be from 10 to 3. Uh, we should be getting a uh appearance from the founder himself, Thomas Hinkle. Yep. Thomas F. Hinkle. He gave blood his whole life. Yes.
SPEAKER_01All of the time.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, he'll be there uh earlier. Apparently, he is tied up with uh a picnic, patron of honor. I don't even know what that person is called.
SPEAKER_01At a picnic before that event?
SPEAKER_02I think after. He's going from there from here to a picnic, is what I just heard.
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_02But he'll be here. I'm sure he's gonna try and get in line. He'll try and sneak in there.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, he will. He actually was giving blood like five years after you're supposed to be able to. They just never asked him his age, they just knew him, and it came up in one of the conversations one time. Where he's like, Yeah, just turn eighty-five. They're like, Wait, what? Because he's pretty mobile for his age for sure.
SPEAKER_02Well, they say that giving blood is good for you because your blood, you know, once you take the pint out, your your body makes new blood. Yeah. So if you've got maybe I'll start doing it old blood.
SPEAKER_01It's not really well.
SPEAKER_02It's probably because you got old blood in there. Old blood. Old blood. Yeah. Bangers of the week, what do we got? We're rolling right through.
SPEAKER_01I got, oh gosh, did my laptop shut off? A song that Malcolm and I have been jamming out to. It's an extremely good air keyboard.
SPEAKER_02Play baby shark. I'm gonna smack you.
SPEAKER_01No, no, no, no.
SPEAKER_02Okay, oh.
SPEAKER_01We go across the Love a synth. Front of the yeah, front of the car. You hear that deep. See, that's a chord I can play. Yeah, we jam to this all the time. You can run to it, you can dance to it, yeah. You're just you can stick to it. You're just expanding my running playlist, really. Good pace. You really could get five or six playing people playing different instruments in that.
SPEAKER_02Oh yeah.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, so that's it. That's Jet in Jungle by Damaged Bug.
SPEAKER_02Another great band name.
SPEAKER_01Have you ever heard of that? No. Yep, I don't know how I found it. It's from 2015, but I found it.
SPEAKER_02It does have a 2015 feel.
SPEAKER_01And no idea if damaged bug is still around. Oh wait. 28,000 monthly listeners.
SPEAKER_02They're still hanging out. No. More listeners than we got. Five. Yeah. 28,000. 28,305? They're beating us by 28,300. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01At least. At least.
SPEAKER_02Alright. My banger of the week is not a song this time. It is a run club. Found myself a new run club yesterday, Barrio 717. They meet at Buchanan Park. They run one loops or two loops, one loop or two loops. Fruit loops. This past week they did a backpack drive and they got a bunch of school supplies. Very cool.
SPEAKER_01Um this is the hair where you get your hair did?
SPEAKER_02No, this is just a run club that I met through uh one of the fast boys, Brian, who goes to Common, and then I found out that they were they have another run club that meets on Tuesdays. Oh, cool. Yeah, so it's an easy way to get I I have Tuesday scheduled runs for training and Thursday scheduled runs for training, so now I'm just get to go to run club, which is very nice.
SPEAKER_01And then Mondays you clearly sit.
SPEAKER_02Very clearly. 5,000 steps is I'm sitting. Yeah, so shout out Barrio717. Check them out. They're on Instagram. Um I believe the founders are Omar and Daniel. Really good guys. I met Omar. Um Daniel was uh snapping pictures uh yesterday, and I'll definitely be back.
SPEAKER_01Cool. For sure. Yeah. Thanks for the invite.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. You're invited next Tuesday.
SPEAKER_01Well, yeah, no. You won't come. Yeah, Tuesdays are Tuesdays are tough.
SPEAKER_02What day? Tuesday? Yeah, I'm booked up. Sorry.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. I got so much to do on Tuesday.
SPEAKER_02Yep.
SPEAKER_01Usually.
SPEAKER_02What else we got?
